Reflexology works on the principal that different parts of the feet correspond with different parts of the body and are presented as reflex points. Reflexology is a non-intrusive, natural therapy. The therapist applies a specialised gentle massage technique, with an aim to rebalance and relax the specific reflexes being worked. The treatment will be tailored to a client’s specific needs. Reflexology can be focused on aiding specific health problems or can be used for maintaining general health. It is wonderfully relaxing and can be excellent for stress, relaxation and wellbeing.

What to expect in a reflexology session
Before a reflexology treatment a thorough consultation will be conducted. You will then be asked to remove your socks and shoes and lie on the therapy couch, making yourself as comfortable as possible. Pillows, bolsters and blankets will be used to make your comfort optimal. All you need to do then is lie back, relax and enjoy the treatment.
I will begin with a gentle massage to the feet, then I will work on individual reflexology points, personalising the treatment to your individual needs. The whole treatment including consultation, reflexology treatment and aftercare lasts around 60 minutes. Most people leave feeling relaxed, calm and balanced. After the treatment you should drink plenty of water and allow yourself time to relax.

I had the pleasure of learning reflexology over 20 years ago from the most wonderful, passionate teacher who passed on her love of reflexology to me. I am an experienced practitioner and have completed comprehensive professional training. I regularly take part in post graduate training and learning and have completed additional qualifications in women’s health reflexology, fertility reflexology, pregnancy reflexology, post-natal reflexology, Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) and Precision Reflexology.
